Summer Miller
Hey! I’m Summer, and I’d love to make space for you.
I am a therapist intern pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Alliant International University. I am passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can show up as your authentic self—while also learning how to cultivate that same sense of safety within yourself.
My approach is grounded in mindfulness, self-awareness, and the mind–body connection. I believe therapy is not only about being supported during sessions, but also about feeling empowered with tools you can carry into your everyday life. I work collaboratively with clients to strengthen coping skills, build emotional awareness, and deepen understanding of how thoughts, emotions, and lived experiences impact overall well-being.
I am especially drawn to working with concerns related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and self-image. I enjoy incorporating creative and experiential techniques—such as visualization, meditation, mindfulness practices, and art-based coping strategies—to support self-expression, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
As a therapist intern, I value authenticity, compassion, and cultural humility. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership and aim to empower clients to build inner safety, resilience, and self-trust as they move toward meaningful and sustainable change.
I am supervised by Linda A. Ramsey, MA, LPC, LMFT-S.
