Netta Ivtzan
Hello, I'm Netta. I believe every person deserves a space to feel seen, heard, and accepted while discovering their own capacity for change, healing, growth, courage and resilience.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, combining mindfulness-based, attachment theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Gestalt.
I find these approaches particularly helpful for individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, overwhelm, relationship and family challenges, parenting, life transitions, grief and loss, and questions of identity, purpose, or spirituality.
Mindfulness was introduced into my life in my teenage years, through yoga. This was where I took my first steps in mind – body - spirit awareness. For me, mindfulness is the practice of bringing awareness to the present moment, creating space between a stimulus and our automatic response, where meaningful change becomes possible.
My professional journey started in London through the therapeutic art, sand tray and play therapy with kids, and later Transpersonal Art Therapy. These days I am pursuing my Master's in clinical mental health counseling at Lindsey Wilson University. This journey shaped both my personal life and my work as a therapist, showing me how mindfulness, creativity, and psychotherapy can come together to support healing, growth, and meaningful change.
I was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel. I now live in Austin, Texas with my husband, our three children, our dog, and our cat. I also lived in several other places, London, UK, Boulder Colorado and Thailand. I value diversity, and multiculturalism.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy traveling with my family, painting with watercolors, and finding peace in nature.
I am supervised by Linda A. Ramsey, MA, LPC, LMFT-S.
